Set in scenic Central Park, Second Glance is essentially a New York story. In a densely populated city of 8 million people, it's not unlikely that on any given day, you may see at least one person who appears to be someone you know, and on the rare occasion, it will turn out that you were right.
At the same time, the same environment that makes this sort of encounter possible also makes real connections less likely. We are constantly on the move, coming from somewhere and going someplace else entirely, and the moment we lock eyes with a stranger our instinct is to look away.
